I wanted to create a space to talk about menopause that was joyful, happy, and a bit glamorous and edgy with bright colors. A place where you want to be, where you feel free and relaxed and exhilarated. Like the private back room of a bar in a big city. And what could symbolize all of that more than a disco ball? Disco balls are so shiny and happy!

Plus, there are so many websites on menopause that are full of pastels and are meant to be soothing but make me feel like I’m only a few weeks away from entering a retirement home. I don’t know about you but I’m not nearly old enough to be put in that category. Honestly, I doubt I’ll ever feel old enough to want to be in that category.

But, interestingly enough, disco balls aren’t only associated with the late 70s and nightclubs. They also have spiritual meaning such as :

• reflecting our inner light and potential
• are symbols of interconnectedness
• allow us to embrace the magic within and discover our limitless potential
• inspire our self-expression and confidence
• find joy and celebration in life

And don’t we all need more of that in our lives? I know I do.
